Italian Comic Illustrates Heroic Women of the Pandemic
I have loved seeing the wellspring of creativity that has sprung up from this time. This is no exception - an Italian artist, normally a comic book artist, is documenting the heroic women that are serving our world in this pandemic, from nurses to shop owners to janitors to truck drivers. These paintings make me proud of be a woman!
WATCH
Some Good News
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have probably seen something about Jon Krasinski’s new web show, Some Good News. Watching the new episodes has become a weekly rhythm for me and my roommates - it seems like each episode just gets better and better! You’ll laugh, you’ll cry…it’s well worth it.
EAT
Slow Cooker White Chicken Chili
Absolutely the best chicken chili recipe I’ve ever tried. This is a simple classic Crockpot meal but this is the only version of it worth making. So flavorful and delicious. Don’t skip the step of cooking the onions in advance! It makes all the difference.
READ
Start by Jon Acuff
I’ve been reading this book to help inspire me to start moving toward my future goals and dreams. The principles in this book can be applied to any dream: buying a house, getting a job, finishing school, or starting a business. It’s been a real encouragement to me in this season when I have some time to really dream.
